Not sure how this works, but CBS Sports reported he would have 4 years of eligibility. http://www.cbssports.com/collegefoo...-notre-dames-gunner-kiel-considering-transfer
Yeah they worded it poorly. Right now he has four years. If he sits out a year because he transfers to fbs, then he'll have three
If he had stuck with his original commitment, he would now be under the coaching tutelage of the man who made Joe Flacco the highest paid player in NFL history. Wonder if he is sleeping well.
His original commitment was to Indiana...had he stuck to it, he'd be under the tutelage of... Kevin Wilson, who helped make QB Sam Bradford and OC Seth Littrell, who helped make QB Nick Foles (3rd R, 2012) Bradford signed a six-year, $78 million contract ($50 million guaranteed), on top of that he got a $2.9 million first-year roster bonus, and a second-year "signing" bonus of $17.97 million. Another $8 million is available through incentives
He's a scaredy-cat, er, Bearcat. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf...el-transfers-cincinnati-192400694--ncaaf.html I wish him failure. He considered Ole Miss and Miss State. He would have been killed by the LSU defense, something he had to give weight to. lol
He told ESPN he was contacted by Ole Miss, Miss State, and Kansas State (and he very well might have been exaggerating when he said that)...but he never said whether he was interested in them or not...of those K State would be the most intriguing being that K State was Big XII Champs, played in the Fiesta v Oregon, and is losing their senior QB that went to NYC as a Heisman finalist But, one of the ND media outlets with insider sources that initially reported Kiel was transferring, Irish Illustrated, reported from the start that "Possible landing spots could include Ball State, Miami (Ohio), Northern Illinois and Cincinnati." And they turned out to be dead on, as the only schools Kiel ended up visiting were Cincinnati (Ohio), Ball State (Indiana), and Miami (Ohio), saying his weekend trip to Cincy was "a great visit. A lot of fun." It's not surprising Kiel ended up at Cincy, which is located just 90 miles east of his home town and his mommy Will be interesting to see Tommy Tuberville and Kiel together at Cincy CBS Sports calls it "a good move" by Kiel Kiel says: "I love where (Cincinnati) is heading and the future is bright.”
He's gonna be near mommy. Nice. Cuz you know there is gonna be times when he will need his warm soup and she can also rub vicks salve on his chest when he gets a cold.
