When they would play that at the Varsity, the whole audience would yell the line "There's a football in the air" at the top of their lungs. The song was written about fall in Baton Rouge.
IMHO, LSU's defense should be nicknamed "The Purple (as in black) Hole" Thus, a good tune to play for the defense would be SoundGarden's Black Hole Sun.
