Cool ! DD is a credit to LSU, I got to have my picture took with him a couple months back. Nice guy!
I'm having trouble editing my post, here's the link:
I love DD!
You know, even if Bush goes to the Texans, I really don't think DD will be "kicked to the curb" because I just don't see Bush being a tough runner at the next level like DD is. Bush will make tons of guys miss with his moves, but I've yet to see him lower his shoulder and "plow" through a defender on a consistant basis....And NO, running over the occassional defensive back from a school like Washington State isn't classified as running "tough".
I agree. If Bush comes here, which it appears he will barring a trade, he is not a 30 carry a game back, which is also true of DD. I think they would compliment each other very well. Give the Texans two quality backs, maybe extend both careers. They may not like it, but it could be good for them.
The notion of the 30 carry back in the NFL just doesn't exist anymore anyway. Even the workhorses of the league (e.g. Shaun Alexander) average 24 carries. Tomlinson, the best in the league, averaged 21 carries.
Just about every team can benefit by having two stud RBs, especially when one is moderately priced (DD) and the other is supremely talented (Bush, presumably.)
