How seriously can you take a network that has both Corso and Holtz as prognosticators?

Meanwhile, you had Howie Long, who always wanted to play at Notre Dame but wasn't offered, and Terry Bradshaw who couldn't get into LSU because of poor test scores as commentators for the Sugar Bowl.

But worst of all was Brent Musberger and his love fest and obsession with USC as being ranked #1 for start of the 2007 season... After all, USC beat up on a team that beat up on ND...:hihi:

Speaking of Terry Bradshaw... I heard his comment about th ACT, also. I a not an LSU grad, but I believe that ALL state schools, including LSU, had an open admissions policy until abut 10 years ago, which means all you needed was a high school diploma to get in. Am I remembering this wrong?

I was watching the game on my Tivo and was shocked that he said he wanted to go to LSU. Not the fact that he wanted to go to LSU but all t hose La Tech fans probably were not to happy with that comment.:hihi:

    I loved it however.

Yes, LSU had a open admisions policy. However at this time LSU required its scholarship athletes to make a 12 on the ACT. Terry took it three times but couldn't make the 12, so he had to decline the LSU offer and go to Tech. Really, Bradshaw would have never made grades at LSU, which was why LSU had the requirement. Unprepared athletes flunked out.

I was wondering how anyone could "Flunk" the ACT. Thought maybe the format had changed since he'd taken it. Now I understand he meant he didn't meet the cut-off.

A composite score of 12 should not be hard to obtain. I wouldn't doubt that many graduating 8th graders could get that just with the 'Standard error of measurement" factor.

Don't pay any attention to anything Holtz the Littlest Elf has to say. He's been a blister on my azz since he was at Arkansas. Worthless is too kind. He's a rubbed out minus mark.

Sorry but I have to disagree. I'm as big an  fan as anyone, but to think that someone with Bradshaw's phenomenal football talent wouldn't have had his grades "massaged" at LSU! in the mid to late '60s if he had gotten in is a little naive IMHO.

How the hell can you not get a 12?! Not saying the guy's dumb.. actually I am saying the guy's dumb. A 12 is nothing, everyone with a little preparation should be able to get that.
