I haven't seen this kind of depth in a long time at LSU, if ever.

We are going to need it in the SEC. Season-ending injuries happen all too often in this league. We have lost our starting running back in each of the last three years. We have lost our starting quarterback in one of them. Randall had a knee injury, too.

I love seeing stars emerge in the starting lineup, but seeing experienced talent in depth is even better news for the potential to succeed in the SEC.

We don't get all of the O-line back...

Big Ben will be a senior and if Andrew doesn't leave after next season I'll be schocked. But we will have plenty of great ones to take their place. Also, we aren't weak at deep snapper IMO, Big Ben made mistakes but he won't do it in a real game plus the freshman, Zimmerman, is supposed to be fabulous at it, a specialist. Bowe should be ahead of David but he should also have Skyler listed at slot back IMO, with Early backing him up there. Plus Addai should probably be listed at RB and WR.

And according to reports coming out of spring, Oliver just may end up working at DE alot and then move inside on passing situations with Pittman playing DE at that time. The roations will have him moving around more than Williams, Spears, Wroten and Pittman I believe as he is the more verastile of the group.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Doucet or Carter or both returning kickoffs either as well as Carey.

If Brazell is going to return kick-offs, I hope he's solved his problem with catching the ball. I hope he has. With his speed, he'd be incredible.

Anyone heard that Joe Lawrence tore an ACL? Someone told me but couldn't confirm it. If anyone can confirm for me let me know. IF it's true, that is a really bad break. All in all, we escaped spring without injuries for the most part.

Ben won't be doing the deep snaps anyway. Saban said that play was really of no concern to him. Now about Joe, I saw him on the sidelines with an injury but I never heard what it was.

Joe will be having surgery soon for a torn ACL and will be redshirted next season according to a post on FightinTigahs.com
