There is some truth to the things, though. My understanding is that the refugees were giving some of the people going to work at the court a hard time... and then some were going to the Chevron across the street begging for food. Let's not forget the attempted carjacking that sent all the employees of the court home. I was walking from my vehicle back to work and a state vehicle stopped to tell me to go back into work and stay there because of the incidents that happened over at the River Center.
who exactly are these people? are they people from the dome? are they people who came home from evacuating to nothing? I am a bit lost
I dunno where they came from, I just know they're refugees that were in the River Center. We're on lockdown here downtown and they have armed police officers patrolling around, too.
Oh, and they said earlier that they had to confiscate some knives off of the people entering the River Center.
Well, our Mayor-President referred to them as "thugs from New Orleans". I imagine they are gang members that are trying to bring the 'hood' with them. They are used to running things in the projects, I suppose, and it is taking some very serious security to keep them in line. Some think they can do better for themselves "foraging" out in BR than staying in the River Center with the mamas and chillrens.
They plan on building a tent city 5 miles from house in Praireville. I am about to vomit of the idea of my house being exposed to some of these thugs. I am strongly considering asking for a transfer to out of state b/c personally I can't take this much longer.
I heard that local prisoners were released yesterday from the New Orleans prison? Scott Free? On Fox News... They also said that others were being transported to other prisons.
No lol... I actually saw coverage of that yesterday.. They were taken to an elevated of the interstate, an island if you will, and were being processed there. They had groups of three shackled together... Were hundreds upon hundreds of them...
