For those of you who don't know who he is. He was the director of bands here at LSU in the 60's and early 70's. He is the creator of Pregame as we know it. Every part of his original drill is still in the show today. He died this past weekend, and I thought some of you might want to know that the man responsible for one of hte greatest pregame's ever had passed away.

Sad news. Wish his family well in the future.

The current Tiger Band has perhaps the best soundpower I've ever heard. But the William F. Swor bands of the 1970's put on dazzling precision drill halftime shows that blew away all competition at the time and still haven't been matched.

Swor was a taskmaster, but his bands were legendary.
