I have family in Little Rock and when I go visit them I always take the route that goes through natchez. I have tried several ways and it's the fastest by about 30 minutes

    [traffic] tickets to little rock

as advised on another thread the highway 65 route is generally the best bet, unless you're entering arkansas from the far west.

as a courtesy to your board if anyone gets the dreaded speeding ticket while in arkansas, pm me and i will lend a hand. note; i make a living doing other things. handling tickets isn't in the mix, but like all lawyers you have to know how to do them and i do. i may not be able to make it disappear, but i can generally minimize the damage, including keeping same off your driving record.

please, drive carefully and have a safe and enjoyable trip.

I'm originally from Ark and have made the drive a half million times. Going Hwy 61 to Hwy 65 is the best bet. Only part of the Hwy that is bad is from Tallulah to Lake Providence

I'll be making that drive too, how is it? I've heard it's like 5 1/2 hours but I'm hopping for more like 4 1/2 to 5 with no stops.

You can probably make it in 5 hours from Dallas, but I'm not sure about the 4 and 1/2. Still, it's incredibly simple--just hit I-30, and you're there.

I swear...Texarkana must have paid mapquest off. I just spent the last two weeks up in Norman OK, mapquest wanted me to go through Texarkana and up HWY 71. I knew this wasn't the best route and went down 20 to 35 N like always. Now, keep in mind, mapquest used to tell me to take the I-20 route, but not anymore. So.....I came home for the weekend and decided to check out 71. It added 2.5 hours to the damn trip. 71 is two lane the whole way.

    Die mapquest...Die. :hihi:
