This is off topic, but I do have a question, I heard I was being insulted on a certain show that follows mine today. Anyone hear this? Usually I listen to the Score when local programming is on but I was listening to Condon this afternoon. Anyone hear anything? Just curious, thanks
That was a nice post except for the last line. As has been discussed in this thread, there are many things that could derail a 10 win season, none of which involve the coaching. That's not to say the coaches can't lose a game for us, but, using wins as the sole benchmark of success is unfair. If and when LSU loses it's first game under Miles, I would suggest not posting your thoughts until Tuesday, at the earliest. All of the Saturday night, Sunday posters will be the angry ones.
The only question mark I see is the QB situation. But, it's the most critical one, especially in college ball. Miles will leave a huge legacy on LSU football. He's a complete professional when it comes to the game. I watched last year's OSU game vs Texas, and it told me a lot about Miles Yes, OSU gave up a 3-TD lead in the 2nd half, but mainly due to lack of depth and Mack Brown's ability to rally. OSU's offense was tearing the Longhorns up. I'd agree that we won't have 3 teams going undefeated this year, especially given that Auburn's backfield has been depleted. Here are the threats we have for this year: ASU's receivers and QBs UT's front seven Bama's D Florida's receivers and QBs Auburn's receivers
I was going to finish the thought, but figured I'd leave it at that. What I meant was that his team plays well enough to win 10 games. If bad luck or whatever else is to strike & we barely lose to some good teams but play a dam good game - that's all you can ask for.
Given the fact---fact---that ZERO schools have won 3 straight National Titles, odds are USC will not be one of however many undefeated teams we have come season's end.
