What's more interesting is had Phil not quit his senior season, TB probably doesn't start that year. And I think Jimmy Johnson was a defensive coach on that LA Tech team.

Quack quack. I had one of his calls back in the 80's before anyone really knew of him, for the most part. I didn't know anyone else with a Duck Commander call. I liked it cause you could blow it even if it was wet. Rain, saliva, etc.

I also remember having a cassette tape that was an instructional one he'd marketed. What I remember from it was him talking about hunting wood ducks and how they'd "Tear off ya gun barrel" when they came in at dark-thirty, after shooting hours. He prefaced it with, "Now I don't know what the laws are everywhere" and cautioned to check local game laws.

I went duck hunting once with a buddy of mine in high school and never did it again. Ducks really are beautiful animals, I just never liked killing animals. Other birds like chickens or doves eh whatever, but not ducks. I don't know, I think I was always a city slicker who was born into the wrong culture, but wouldn't trade the Louisiana heritage for anything if that makes any sense.

Crawfish are beautiful crustaceans. How do you feel about boiling thousands of them alive at a time?

I don't think they are beautiful, I think they are delicious
