very very unlikely he goes in the first. i cant even think of all the receivers there are probly gonna be in this draft. underclassmen: calvin johnson, dwayne jarrett, sidney rice, limas sweed, ted ginn. seniors: steve smith(i think), dallas baker, steve breaston, jason hill, the TT guys, samardzjia, mcknight, etc. etc. it would be very tough for bowe to sneak in. davis, as above mentioned, would be a good slot guy because of his good lateral moves and speed.

a ton of WRs this year, just go to nfldraftcountdown.com i think or any other scouting service

Does anyone think that Buster could play punt returner early on in his career with a little more practice unber his belt?

He had two punts last game that should have been fair caught to keep field position. So he would have to work out a few kinks for the NFL.

But we're talking about draft status, not NFL capabilities.

I'm not sure he's a first-rounder. He's got the physical size the NFL likes, but he doesn't make many 'great' catches or tough catches. The ball in the end zone v. Fresno was his for the taking, but he didn't go get it.

He won't get many opportunities like that in the NFL and the pros will want to see him 'take' as many catches as he's 'given'.

he's got a great chance to show his talents against a legit opponent in UT. should be return a punt the distance this weekend or maybe break a couple of punts for long yardage, then yes this could pave his way into the NFL

I hope so. He's a good kid and has given his all to the program.

My problem with Bowe is not the tough catches, he tends to make some incredible catches at times. His lack of focus on the easy ones is what will be his shortcoming and ultimate demise in the NFL. They won't stand for it.

It may not be fair, but I compare receivers to what i consider to be the technical standard, Michael Clayton. If Bowe had the technical skills of a Clayton, he would be an easy first rounder, one of the very first receivers taken in the draft next year. He needs to work harder at his craft. It will mean big bucks in return one day.

I think Bowe will go at the end of the 1st round..... His ability to get open, along with his size will be too hard to pass on...

While he is good at those things, there are also 4-5 receivers that will probably go before him and i think he'll be lucky to get drafted in the 2nd round. the draft is more about what the team needs and if i were a team drafting a wr truthfully there are many receivers i would look at drafting before bowe. But who knows, injuries may occur and hopefully Bowe plays lights out this end stretch and boosts his draft status.
