This is not the place to cheerlead for Alabama or put down our coach.

I don't believe he will be there if he has a season any where close to the one he just had...... as a redshirt freshman he can leave after his sophomore year.

A.J. McCarron should leave for the draft. No way he has the same kind of year with the bulk of his offensive line leaving. Alabama loses atleast 3 games next year.

And yet you must have some idea of how many rs offensive lineman at Alabama and LSU are chomping at the bit, waiting on their turn?

chomping at the bit and waiting their turn, are very different than trying to replace an all american or 1st team all sec performer, those are very big shoes to fill, expect to take a few lumps there. I think you guys take for granted the type of offensive line play you have had for the last two years.

Depends on what you describe as taking lumps. It's been suggested that it means at least 3 losses. We are working with a rebuilt defense. So it's not the historic group that dominated last season. It is the number one defense in the nation. Historic, no. Number one, yes. Everything is relative. What I want to know, is the talent there? Yeah, that's all.

there is still one game left for the 2012 Bama D, but from a statistical perspective...this is where the 2012 Bama D stands currently...

Only 3 teams in the last 14 seasons (1999-2012) have finished with BOTH a better scoring D and total D than the current 2012 Bama D....

    Scoring D
    8.2 - 2011 Bama
    9.0 - 2008 Southern Cal
    9.6 - 2000 TCU
10.7 - 2012 Bama (will be 8.7 if they shut out ND)

    Total D
    183.6 - 2011 Bama
    221.8 - 2008 Southern Cal
    245.0 - 2000 TCU
    246.0 - 2012 Bama (one game left)

Besides 2011 Bama (8.2), no SEC team in the last 14 years has had a better scoring D than the current 2012 Bama D (10.7), although one team has tied it...

    10.7 - 2005 Bama (Shula)

And other than the 2011 Bama D (183.6), only 4 SEC teams in the last 14 years have had a better total D than the current 2012 Bama D (246.0) ..

    222.5 - 1999 Miss State (Jackie Sherrill, 10-2)
    242.8 - 2006 LSU
    245.5 - 2004 Bama (Shula)
    245.4 - 2009 Bama

Nice to know LSU's 2011 defense was better than the best defense in Alabama history.
