I just went over there for the first time in a while. It's really alot more active than this one at all times. Alot of whining and usually alot of LSU bashing. Here's a sample and why Auburn don't travel well. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: Maybe New Orleans was too far for them. 051669Tiger Registered User Posts: 9 (1/5/05 7:55:09 am ) Reply Why was AU outnumbered in Sugar Bowl? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I do not know if this has been discussed, but there was there was 2 VT fans to 1 AU fan in the Sugar Bowl. This pisses me off to no end. I heard several people sitting around me discussing this saying alot of AU fans were "protesting" the BCS mess. IF YOU DID NOT GO AND SUPPORT YOUR TIGERS JUST TO PROTEST THE BCS, BE ASHAMED!!!!!!!!!! We should have owned the dome Monday night.
I miss that one. Think we played them for about 8-10 yrs? Good, intense games. Somebody help me out with this game/year. I believe Archer was coaching then, maybe ('89). We're playing them over there. Think we lost the game, but I still remember (somewhat) on a KO or KO return, memory fading fast, on some play an Aggie makes a heckuva tackle very early in the game, he gets up, takes his helmet off, and blood is pouring out like I've never seen. Looked like a human waterhose on full blast.
I'm on a half-dozen forums regularly, including ITAT and AU Nation. ITAT is very active, like Tiger Forums, but with more trash due to the numerous Bammer-posers that routinely drop in to stir up chit. AUNation is slightly less active, but there is less BS and more football discussion. They each have their own flavor, IMO. Anyway, back to the subject ....the preseason rankings for '05. I always LMAO about polls that come out before August, but especially about those that come out before recruiting season is even close to being completed  What a bunch of mularky. Who cares where you're ranked at this point. I say, let's get through the recruiting season and chew our nails through the injury-prone summer, and then we'll all figure out where we should be. Hell, I'll bet nearly half the people on this board know more about the programs and players of the SEC than do most of the pollsters in the coaches poll (most of them get their assistants to look at the AP and mark 'em up accordingly...) Auburn wasn't even in the preseason rankings last year at this time.....and they finished 13-0. Thw winner of the AU-LSU game will once again represent the SECW in the SECC. And I strongly suspect that both will be undefeated when they play.
You saw this one?       lubbocktiger Registered User Posts: 307 (1/5/05 6:52:19 pm ) Reply Fox News Report just gave AU a share of the title! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shepherd Smith says undefeated Auburn gets an unofficial share of the national title, in the G Block! At least a little love from somewhere...still waiting on Golf Digest and maybe the Beltway Boys!
one fact i have discovered: if any fan notices another school is obsessed with them, its always the other way around.
