Early Transfer of Sovereignty

    What do yall think about transferring sovereignty to the Iraqi's 2 days early?

    We could have waited another year, they still would F*%# it up. I don't see this country ever getting their stuff together. These people don't know how to think for themselves - they won't be happy until they have another dictator who kills & oppresses their people.

    Right, because years and years of history should be completely turned around in a 15 months. Imagine your city was bombed and occupied by an army. You had no water or electricity or worse, no home. Would you have your stuff together?

    People in 1774 could've said the same thing about the United States. We got rid of an entire government that was in constant power for decades. It'll take time for a new one to come to fruition.

    From what I hear, the early transfer was done to avoid any violence on the publicly released deadline. It's all a symbolic gesture anyway. Iraq won't really have anything of substance until early next year.
