My position is the IPCC report was composed from reports authored by hundreds of climatologists. They reached a consensus that I don't agree with. Some authors dissented and I agree with them. So what makes your position so all fired high and mighty?
You do. I agree for scientific reasons and I try to back my conclusions up with some evidence. You agree because of your political convictions, don't back up your statements, and feel that your personal "common sense" trumps true facts.

Well, there may be nothing "funky" with it at all. First give us the links where you got this data so we can see it in context. Secondly data from a single site cannot be used to determine global average temperatures. Then make your case about what you see as fraudulent. Mere adjustment of data is no proof of anything "funky". Data taken at different seasons of the year will give false indicators if adjustments for seasonal temperatures are not made. This doesn't mean that some fraudulent adjusments could not exist. But it certainly isn't evidence of it. If your sources demonstrate such evidence, I'd like to see it.
the first graph wasn't from a single site it was every station in the UN IPCC specified Northern Australia region which contains temperature records that extend up to the year 2000 no matter when they started, (which comes from GHSN) And there is one from 222 northern australia temperature sites, every single station station in northern australia. and, surprise, it looks nothing like the graph that was included in the official UN IPCC report.
