I started to say almost the same thing. Other thing to point out is the games that we won, again we set records just by tweaking things just slightly. Imagine what can be done with more of Eaux's coordinators and playbook in place
However, that 1.4M was a sunk cost because he wasn't going to be the OC at Bama next year no matter what he says. Probably would of made in the $1.8 range at LSU but then wouldn't have full control.
Again, as I asked @StaceyO with no answer: Other than Herman or Jimbo, who among the possible interviewees who would have actually taken the job would you have chosen over Oeaux?
That's good to hear. I like what I've read about this guy. Plus this would be the first time in his career with this much talent for his offense. I am cautiously optimistic about our entire team especially if Canada is hired, including O, all you whiney bitches.
Can we just agree that Alleva is an incompetent POS who lucked into handling the hire right after failing to land Herman or Jimbo. Even a retarded monkey gets things right once in a while - except for taint
Did I not just fucking say that I hope he succeeds? And I sincerely hope he does... I have been a Tiger fan for nearly 50 years now and my Saturdays are a lot more fun when LSU is good. He has not had to hire, fire, and manage a coaching staff. He has not had final say in what positions need to be focused on in recruiting and has not had final say in who gets offered in recruiting. He's not been responsible for keeping a whole team of players focused and out of trouble. He's not had to do any of that since Ole Miss and that was an unmitigated disaster. He says he's learned a lot since those days and I guess we will see. Yeah, the loss to Florida was not good but it's everything else about that game that bothers me. He allowed the team to run their mouth for a month which ultimately led to the altercation before kickoff. Then let his emotions to get the best of him by allowing LF to dress for the game when he never should have seen the field. Then continued to use Fournette when it was obvious that he was not able to go. Good coaches do not do these things... that looked a lot like the same guy who was the worst head coach in the history of Ole Miss football.
