I'm talking about the ones they "receive" AFTER the 3rd. Everyone has more than enough time to get an envelope to Pa by the 3rd. If it comes on the 4th or after it should go into the burn pit
The RULES say that they have until a certain time to get their ballots in and several Republican judges, including the Supreme Court have ruled in favor of maintaining those rules. You cannot change the rules at the last second because you think they do not favor you. So no it is not abhorrent...it's the law and it's legal. Trump and you are only questioning it now because he needs those votes to be suppressed. Sad....
I absolutely agree with that opinion,.. here, when the polls close, an election official picks up all the ballots at the post offices, and that's it,.. law says ballots not received by end of election day will not be counted,.. our's are physical paper ballots, takes a little longer to tally than electronic, but results are known that night, or early morning
If they wanted that to be the rules they should have made them that way a year ago when they were taking all of these things into consideration. The Purcell Principle is a legal precedent that says that election rules cannot be changed at the last second. This principle has been used in recent years to stop last second law suits to try and change rules or confuse the electorate.
yes, and all of those votes should count if they fall within the guidelines set by their respective state. Remember, our elections are actually 50 state elections, not a federal election. Every state makes their own rules about the time frame in which ballots can be accepted and cancelled. As long as those rules are fair to both sides, what is wrong with it? Aren't the Republican votes that arrive within that time frame going to count also? As long as the rules apply evenly to both then I see no problem with it.
LOL...think about it dude...you are talking about needing to take this to the SC in order to have a chance to win. He's losing and that is why he is acting out like this. It will get worse tomorrow when it's clear he's lost.
