I don't agree. Having the Ten Comandment taught at a young age stays with you as you grow up. I remember being tempted many times but felt guilt that stopped me from doing stupid things because of those 10 commandments. Been on earth 73 years and I can tell you without a doubt society is much more vulgar and violent since the left has taken religion out of schools and everywhere. Just the vulgarity I see parents use around their children was something I didn't hear growing up. The violence is 10 times more prevalent and heartless. Abortion alone has made society calous toward human life. You are just wrong

Oh we are all born with some immorality in us. Having moral parents is the biggest factor to control that but I believe a religious foundation also helps.
When 1 was about 5 a hobo came to our front step and ask my mom for something to eat. My mother told him that he could not come in but she would make him something that he could eat on the step. While she was making him a couple of sandwiches I asked her why she was feeding him and she told me "you never pass up the opportunity to do the right thing" that little tidbit has stayed with me my whole life and was more powerful than anything I ever heard in a church or anywhere else.
Feeding the bums is the right thing to do if they even want to eat. Giving them Money is the wrong thing. I was working in an office in the mid 90s. We had had an office Christmas party with all kinds of food. Chicken drummettes and Swedish meatballs and stuff like that. It was also payday so I went to the bank and cashed my check during my lunch break. When I pulled back in the parking lot some guy who looked like a meth freak started telling me how he and his old lady hadn't eaten in days. Could I give him some money. The woman looked even worse than him. I told him I wouldn't give him any money but I would go in the office and make plates of food for both of them. As soon as I said that the guy started cursing me loudly as he quickly walked away from my car. Do you think he wanted money for something besides food?
