The lust for power and it’s “righteous” use is what makes the coastal elites so dangerous. It why I have campaigned against them so much and will continue to do so. It’s not that they’re specifically socialists but they want to tell everyone what to do and punish anyone who disagrees. Regardless of so called political ideology they foster a tyrannical state. You have asked why I don’t support Trump if the others are so bad? There’re several reasons. First he has the same authoritarian tendencies the others do. He’s chaotic and frankly incompetent more often damaging himself more than others damage him. He was leading us down a different path to the same place....an authoritarian government. I also had policy differences in many areas. However in the short run Trump was less of a threat than the Democrats. It turns out that the election had some positive results anyway. First if we fight the Republican can hold the senate which will limit the potential damage. Likewise we held control of the state legislatures so will have more control over congressional redistricting. This shows there’s hope the progressive authoritarians won’t be able to get control. These are if anything more important than Trump by far.
