Have you ever seen what a cat does with its victims before it kills them?

Yes, but a cat doesn’t know it is causing pain. Mommy cats bring home prey to teach their kittens how to hunt and kill for food. It has nothing to do with “let’s torture the mouse” for the sake of torture and watching it hurt.

those arent really the teachings of god, thats just a trick. they are teachings of some people. some of them are good, some are bad. it is probably best just to act right because its the path to a more fulfilling life for everyone.

the cat knows it is causing pain. you might argue that the human affirmatively likes to inflict pain, but the cat just doesnt care. but animals know what pain is and that they can hurt other animals.

    animals are ammoral

I walked outside one day and the first thing I saw was a dead rat with his heart ripped out. I would play with my kitty and pet him the he would bite or scratch me.

I buy most of what he eats, pay for his health care, etc. He must be a Democrat.

If he could get a ride I know they'd let him vote.

Man has sought God since he became sentient. The evidence goes back to the oldest burials, cave paintings and carvings we have found. Why? What does that speak to? Do we search for God because of ego or is there something inside that calls to our creator? Notice I’m not talking about religion but search for our creator....the creator of the universe. Man created religion to give form to that search, and every religion has the failings of men cooked in. Don’t confuse organized religion with God or faith other than the recognition that he is out there and we are searching for our path to him. If religion brings you closer to God then it’s done it’s job but it’s not necessary to have a religion to believe.

I have no use for any religion but is it not wanting to cease to exist that makes me want to believe that there is some sort and of afterlife? And not an afterlife as a cow or a plant but as a self aware human being even if I have to polish my halo every day.

No, it does not. Cats are not self aware. They will hiss at their own reflection. To a cat, a mouse is just a self moving ball. They have no idea they are causing pain, and they most certainly aren’t playing with the mouse for the purpose of causing pain. Sorry, you are just wrong on this one.

On God, there is no need in any debate regarding the existence as there can be no proof one way or the other that can be transferred from one person to another. That’s why it’s called “witness”. However, on the teachings, The Old Testament was such a radical departure from human nature, that it was incomprehensible to the other human populations around it. Kings and Leaders viewed themselves as Gods. Judaism put all humans on the same level, with the Supreme Power residing in the Life Force. Since God is undefinable, we describe God in our likeness, so, it’s not likely that God is an old white bearded man sitting on a cloud. But that doesn’t mean that a higher intelligence or purpose doesn’t exist. Think of some of the unexplainable scientific principles, such as everything that exist or can exist already exist, or, energy can neither be created nor destroyed, or the u limited vastness of the Universe. Think about the relationship between the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd dimensions! A line can not fathom the existence of a plain, and a plain can’t fathom an object with depth. Thus, it would follow, we cannot fathom a “being” or object of the Fourth or Fifth dimension. A being that lives outside of our concept of time and space. So, we call it God. Then there is entropy, the natural state of things is for perpetual expansion. Life itself is a force against the natural law of entropy.

Judaism also put in place teachings that quelled Man’s Sexual Desires and the debilitating relationships formed by it. Before Leviticus, there was only one Sexual Relationship, the penetrator and the penetrated. The penetrated was always viewed as the lesser of the two. For women, since they were always the penetrated, they were perpetually second class citizens. Boys and men who were penetrated lived in a state of shame, but their was no condemnation of the rape of men and women .... or animals, or tree stumps, or whatever the penetrator could penetrate. Judaism elevated women to co equals, giving them value beyond just the penetrated, a being worthy of love and respect, and that a man should direct his sexual desire towards his wife alone, and leave other men’s wives alone. There are even references in ancient Egyptian writings about this peculiar institution in Judaism against homosexuality and their devotion to their wives.

Of course, we don’t have an electrical device than can detect “God”. Even if we did, there would be no way for us to interpret it, because again, we can’t fathom God. What we do have is a life, and a sense of coincidence vs serendipity, vs devine interaction. Those of us who have experienced a god moment will testify to Gods existence. We don’t know what it is, but we know it is there.

I don't know what God looks like but I've seen pictures of Jesus. He is a tall handsome white man with long hair. Looks like a rock star.
