    I hope you all voted.

I did, and instead of giving me an 'I voted' sticker, they gave me one that reads, 'My vote counted'. I feel like I got jobbed.

I live in Texas, does my vote count?
  5. martin Well-Known Member

Your vote doesn't count no matter where you live. Voting is an utter waste of time. People say its important to vote but peop,e say that because they are idiots

I always vote but only because I enjoy wasting time
  6. martin Well-Known Member

Why, do you hate us and want us to waste time? Believe democracy functions best via high turnout rates?
  7. Cajun Sensation I'm kind of a big deal

    No, you're right martin.

I'm sorry everyone. I'd like to recant my last statement. DO NOT go vote. REPEAT: DO NOT GO VOTE.

martin thinks it's a waste of time.

FiveThirtyEight has Obama's chances of re-election at 91.6%

What's your take on that martin (I only ask you that b/c I know that you are going to give your take anyway).
  9. martin Well-Known Member

    Again, that isn't an argument.

You are just one person your vote does nothin, especially if you don't live Ina swing state.

Even the stupidest social scientists and economists and political theorists acknowledge that voting is a useless waste of time
