    Of course not, it is absurd. Democrats do not deny the science of evolution and climate change. Republicans do, in the name of politics and religion. A vote for today's GOP is a vote to return to the 18th century.

    Just an update on swing state polling date: Romney's selection of Paul Ryan for VP has given him a marginal bounce in the polls but nothing to get overly excited about. Compared to other VP selection bounces, the Romney-Ryan bounce has been mediocre at best. Generally a VP selection provides around a 3 pt polling bounce and Ryan's has been anywhere from 1-2 percentage points.

    In spite of unemployment rates rising in 44 states last month and the Romney-Ryan bounce, the President still appears fairly resilient. I suspect polls will tighten after the conventions and will continue to do so up to election day as undecided voters make their selections. Read an good article yesterday that said there are fewer truly undecided voters than in years past. Currently it appears that number could be as low as 2-3% of the electorate.
