Just watched the game yesterday, given it was on during the Bama/ ole miss game, so I was just looking in. You really played well overall, but man, I want those three points. I hope you have video evidence of the two-point conversion actually winning you games you otherwise would have lost with just PATs. Cause that is the only reason you guys lost that one. At least it wasn't a conference loss and you still can get to the playoffs if you run the table.
I think we are going to be a good team. The reason we lost to Nebraska,.. mostly because they converted on 4th and 9 with just over 3:00 to play, and don't overlook the gazillion pass interference calls against us,.. like any game there were many plays that swung the game. As far as visual evidence, well, the truth is we have rarely played any close games, I don't recall such a controversy before. I'll just say that I like going for the two point conversions, it's fun and exciting,.. but that's my opinion, like I said before, Helfrich is catching a lot of heat over it. You apparently have a super kicker on top of that, so it must truly be a philosophy at work. The problem is not with your QB, he looked good but that Nebraska stadium was making some noise. Losing your starting running back didn't help. No panic in Riley, but after all those Pac 12 confrontations he had the drill down pretty good. All in all, a good game, I enjoyed watching the replay.
Their latest uni is pretty close to a joke uniform in a pic that came out a few years ago and there are these
Riley is a great coach, , the Ducks beat him like a drum his last 7 years at Oregon State, he wanted this game bad. Yeah it was a real good game, back and forth, exciting. We play Nebraska next year in Eugene.
Riley had more cards in the deck this time. He's been around the coaching circles, and he turned down an oppronunity to come home a few years back. But I hope he does well at Nebraska, cause if he doesn't, it won't remind him of longsuffering Corvallis. Huskers want to win, now.
