Heartbreaking to think about it being burned up,.. driving from Portland, up the Columbia river gorge, viewing spectacular Multnomah Falls, stopping at the Vista houses and way stations, then to Mt Hood and Timberline Lodge for dinner,.. it's just what Oregonians have always done.
If I had known there were places that beautiful in Oregon maybe I would have made it a point to visit your state. The punks who started the fire should be sentence to a lifetime of replanting all the trees that got destroyed
Hero's prevented Multnomah falls from being burned, it was close though, a trail bridge leading to the top was destroyed. Multnomah lodge was also saved, barely, the fire came within 30 yards of the historic structure. The scenic old highway was hit hard and that's a shame, but it could've been worse. Despite Eagle Creek fire, gorge 'still going to be a beautiful place' http://www.oregonlive.com/wildfires...etains_splendor_despite.html#incart_big-photo Black is the new green
What a huge loss to not only Oregon, but to all of the USA. My wife and l took a 7 day trip to Portland & Seattle in May of this year. Did the 6 mile loop trail around Multnomah Falls and trails on Mt. St. Helens & Mt. Rainier. All the waterfalls were spectacular do the heavy snowfall last winter, and the forests were lush green. Hard to imagine that they are now destroyed. So happy I selected that part of the country for this years vacation.
https://twitter.com/GoDucks/status/900804961314906112 The air quality index in Eugene on Tuesday was above 200, very high, hazardous, was some talk about rescheduling our game,.. good news things changed, a marine air layer has moved in, pushing the smoke out and even bringing a little rain,.. that's also helped the Columbia River Gorge situation,.. the air index in Autzen at game time is expected to be about 50, not bad. Oregon vs Nebraska, 1:30 PT kickoff on FOX,.. the Ducks will be wearing their snazzy, "Stomp out cancer", unis,.. Oregon wearing white at home, what a novel idea. http://ftw.usatoday.com/2017/08/ore...-cancer-childrens-hospital-nebraska-game-ncaa
thanks man,.. I predict,.. Oregon 47, Nebraska 24 LSU 41,.. Chattanooooga... 0 I'm still kinda mad at the 49ers,.. Go Tenn Titans
That's the $64k question,.. we've gone back to the 3-4,.. last week our D looked better, was flying around, hitting hard,.. albeit against an over-matched opponent,.. tomorrow's game against the Huskers will shine a truer light on it.
