Rw, Wonderfull scenic area where I live, eastern foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range. 75 miles South of me, is Mt. Shasta. 50 Miles north of me is Crater Lake. Click on my signature. . .
Absolutely breathtaking scenery. It's 70 degrees with thunderstorms this morning in Plano, Texas, to be followed by a cold front and 20-30 mph north winds tomorrow. And the landscape, of course, is quite barren and ugly.
Beautiful place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. I hate cold weather with a passion. You enjoy that weather, I'm going to our condo on the beach in Fla!
Where I live, in Southern Oregon on the East side, It's been a rather mild fall,.. 3 days ago that changed. Got about 4 inches of snow Sunday, Monday morning it got down to 14 degrees. Today is supposed to warm up, probably into the 50's. Untill mid Feb.- nice days will be in the 40's, lows in the mid/low twenties. Cold days won't warm above freezing, with lows to about 10 degrees or so. Every couple of years the temp. will fall below zero. From May until Nov. our weather is great. High temperatures rarely reach 90, usually 70 to 80 degrees, It's sunny every day, with very low humidity. My Grandad thought Klamath Falls has the most perfect weather, and I agree. I'm glad I was born here.
That's the west side of the Cascades, it's a temperate rain forest over there. Rains about every day from October into June. My Sister said this year was the worst, they only had about 3 weeks of nice weather all year. When I lived there, I liked it,.. never had to wash my car.
