I visited Portland a few times for about a week at a time. You are correct, it rains there almost everyday, it's not really rain like we know it, it's mostly drizzling. But very gloomy weather, especially in the winter. It is picturesque, however.
Your description is apt, and some people really can't handle weather like that, it makes them very depressed. Other people, like me, love it,.. everything is green and growing, it's like living in a garden. The temperatures in the Willamette valley are very constant, it might only reach a high of 55 degrees, but with 45 as the low night temperature. Once you learn to dress for it, it can be very comfortable weather to live in. It's a neat thing to see,.. it's known as Oregon sunshine.
Geaux Ducks, Beat Nerds! I know SC got jobbed, so be prepared to have those shady calls going against you.
