  2. I'm not Shane but, I don't like the new rule. It was made to increase offensive production. Fuck fielding based on a player's weakness. If you are a one trick pony (Joey Gallo, former Texas Ranger) and they want to pitch you to hit it into a 4 man line, so be it. Be great at not just one thing. Learn and make the defense pay and they won't do that.

Remember when the NBA outlawed zone defense to let superstars shine? Fuck that shit.

  4. I don't hate the shift as much as I despise these major league players inability to make them pay for doing it. I know I've coached teams at the little league level that would just hit it the other way.

Hell a year or so ago old ass Matt Carpenter got jammed and dribbled one to the ss. They had the shift on and he ended up at 2nd base.

It is disgusting that these "pros" either can't go the other way or they are just too stubborn to not try and swing for the fence.

The ghost of Tony Gwynn should haunt all of their asses

  6. It has been reported that teams will begin the season, (april 8), with no limit on how many pitchers they can carry as part of expanded 28-man rosters, before they revert to 26 players (and 13 pitchers, maximum) in May, though the changes have not yet been officially announced by MLB or the MLBPA
  7. well, i certainly can't argue with that,.. still i like the rule which will be implemented next season,.. like i said above, "computer analytics are taking over,.. fuck that,.. simplify,.. let's just play baseball'

"just too stubborn to not try and swing for the fence.",.. giants announcer said the other day,. "modern hitters don't make two strike adjustments,.. they just want to take three good rips at it"

why do they think the game needs bigger bases?

  8. Wait is that in there?

The strikeouts drive baseball purest absolutely bonkers! Get the bat on the ball! I'll admit I got caught up in the Big Mac/Sosa thing ~93 but even then Sosa would swing at anything between the on-deck circles.

I just hate when they meddle, just leave it the hell alone. Don't like it, don't watch!

Pros should be able to hit the ball into holes in the defense. Basic freaking baseball.
