He lost his job because Tuberville got fired as head coach. His son couldn't break into the rotation at quarterback.
Tubberville had plans to bring him on staff at Texas Tech but those plans fell through because he only had limited spots available. All he had was an administrative position so Ensminger turned it down.
Wish I could say I was happy with this move. I liked him during his playing days but after reading his history in coaching I can't say I'm too impressed. Hope I'm wrong but seeing he had a couple of stints in high school after having college jobs and with most recently going from big time college coaching to high school PE teacher and high school passing coordinator doesn't make me jump for joy here.
