O.K. I am a fair man- so tell me why they were with him. Same reason every politician likes to have a picture of them with the Govenor of a given State, the President of the US, etc. Props my friend, guilty by association in the least but, again, I do understand the pickle they were put in- not that I like it or am happy about it but it is what it is.

<sarcasm> Oh yeah because bringing an former player who is now in the NFl with you to the school does nothing to help recruiting... hey kids these guys went here, I coached them and now there in the NFL... I'm sure that has no effect on the recruits at all.. </sarcasm>

The Edwards situation is a bit murkier than James' situation. James should have said no to Nick. Edwards has more vested in it since it's his brother and must do what is right. I just don't know why he would want his brother playing for a man of such low morality, however.

    I don't get it?
If I remember correctly Bradie James quit the team or left LSU early because
    he didn't like Saban's style.

Saban is desperate, He'll do anything to try and repair his reputation.
He is still a quiter and a liar.

Ok, now I'm depressed. James was one of my favorite players of all-time. Unreal. This is unbelievable... they are dead to me.

    What would Michael Clayton do?

    I agree, it's pretty depressing.

It's the kind of feeling when you're walking up to your vehicle and you realize someone broke into it and stole stuff of yours. Pretty sickening.

Sure the situation seems shady but it just comes down to James and Edwards being loyal to Saban. Who knows what Saban did for them while they were here. They obviously respect the guy, and just because all Tiger fans hate him doens't mean they have to as well.
I mean neither played for Coach Miles so they dont' have a relationship with him. But you'd think they would be more loyal to the LSU football program... the one that put them in the NFL.

I remember reading a story about LSU and Saban being BJ's family after the loss of his Mother. Saban was credited for helping him pull through the depression.

I can understand him feeling pressured into something like that but it still doesnt sit quite right with me. I would like to hear more of the story to get a better feel of the situation.
