1. Well there's the problem with your logic possibly. They probably feel Saban got them into the NFL, not LSU.

Especially in the case of James, a defensive player.
  2. We can mamby pamby, psychoanalyze this to death.

The bottom line is that these two guys, especially James, were recruiting FOR BAMA which is -- by definition -- against LSU.

There are two sides to every story, but until I hear their side, they can both kiss my rosy derriere.

  3. ******* BINGO *******

This is one of the reasons why it is hard for me to feel very much for LSU guys once they turn pro UNLESS they visit and/or help LSU recruit.

This, however, is the extreme case.

In this case, it is as if they are more loyal to NS than LSU.

    F' em.

DON'T SHOW YO @SSES UP IN TS EVER AGAIN.

LSU will STILL be around a LONNNNNGGGGG TIME after NS is gone.

And I'll STILL be rooting for 'em. :thumb: :geauxtige :geauxtige
  4. This is how I feel, too. They don't seem loyal to LSU. I guess the next time we see them on Monday Night Football, they'll say which high school they attended, instead of their college.
  5. This story just makes me more of a les miles fan. f**ck Saban Edwards, and James. F**cking traitors.
  6. you guys are crazy.

Have any of you guys played sports what-so-ever? The coach-athlete relationship can be very strong... and I hold no hard feelings towards these guys. They dont owe LSU anything. Both guys gave 4 years to us, and did a great job while they were here. Who knows what nick saban has done for those guys in the past. They probably call him to this day for advice with football, family, and life in general...

What have you guys done for these men? Have you ever done a damn thing for them... other than scream when they made a big play 5 years ago?

Saban has taken a lot of **** from us, the media, and even his former players... I don't blame him for taking some of his good friends and ex players with him to attest for his credibility. I don't know why you guys feel like they owe you anything else... Who says they're recruiting for him? It just says that they went to help him regain some of his credibility...

All those guys know is that while they were at LSU, he was an incredible coach and friend... you think they hold his career moves against him? Like James or Edwards wouldn't accept huge contracts as coaches at alabama or auburn or florida. get real
  7. only because guys like you who don't know them, their past, or their situation, rip them on message boards, and make them feel like their college has a ****ty fan base. THANKS :)
  8. If these two guys are trying to get work as assistant coaches, I can cut them some slack. Coaches can't afford to be too loyal to their alma maters. Assistant coaches have to work at many schools over the course of a career and the people that hire them are head coaches like Nick Saban. They have to schmooze head coaches a lot in order to get remembered and get hired. Having a rep as a homer doesn't help them. Now Nick owes them a favor and they will get introductions at coaching clinics and letters of reference.

I'm not putting much more than that into it.

  9. A friend of mine who palyed high school football up in north La. just e-mailed me that James WAS NOT there and that its just a rumor. Don't know about Eric Edwards. Hope its true that Bradie was not there.

  10. I've often wondered why we don't see former Tigers more involved with the program. Even if Miles didn't recruit them, it wouldn't hurt to bring them back and develop a sense of 'once a Tiger always a Tiger' attitude. It could only help with recruiting as well. What prospect wouldn't be impressed to see Kevin Faulk and his Super Bowl rings encouraging him to sign with LSU, ect.
