ok, i'm only gonna reply to you, because yours is the easiest to address everything. this also goes back to the reading skills thing. 1. edwards was there with saban watching edwards' LITTLE BROTHER. yeah i'd say it'd be kinda hard to tell your former coach "no i'm sorry, but i don't feel like seeing my brother today." this is no way in hell implies he recruited for saban. maybe... just maybe... he talks to his brother when saban isn't around? 2. brady... yeah it's harder to defend and y'all aren't out of line for bashing me for it. but as dd said, buddy songy and scarborough said on the radio yesterday... he was just there. there's no evidence he actively recruited for saban. none. once again he was just there, i mean who was saban recruiting from sterlington that would hurt lsu if he got him? the fact is, nobody anywhere has said or proven that they were recruiting for saban. so once again y'all are just reading what you want to read from this. these are two guys who played for saban during the nc year, how can you put them in a position of saying they have to decide between lsu and saban? why can't they respect both? come on guys, you're either in a university or have graduated from one. you're smarter than this.
Then how is it that James and Edwards are 'helping' Saban. Spin it however you want, but if they're accompanying him on visits, then it is recruiting.
You trying to say I'm easy?? :hihi: Compared to most of the responses in this thread, to say my first post on this subject was leniant is an understatement; however, if they were in fact with him, you still didn't answer my question in my "Simple post"
It's just a rumor, amigo. No one has confirmed that they were "recruiting" for Bama or were just in the same town. This is a typical runaway internet rumor. For reasons stated above, I think it is unlikely that Saban or the former LSU players are together recruiting.
The is a post on another board which states that the media contacted Brady and he said it was bull****. I think DD has his story wrong.
but... but.... but... It was on the internet. it must be true Guys. let's make sure we get the whole story (if there even is one) before we start disowning former tigers :angryfire.
First of all they can't recruit for anyone, including LSU. Why do you think Deuce McAllister got in trouble a couple years ago for talking to some recruits at Ole Miss? But if this was true, then the NCAA should investigate Saban and throw the book at him. I honestly can't see Saban going out on a limb like this. I'd say this is BS.
I find it really hard to believe that Bradie James would tell a recruit to go to Bama before LSU. I just don't buy into this. Eric Edwards on the other hand, might want to see his brother play for Nick Saban since that's who he played for. But I really don't see that either. I promise you them two guys Love LSU.
