I think it will take a turn to the east when it enters the gulf. Let's just hope and pray that it doesn't come our way. I wanted it to diminish but it doesn't look like it's gonna do that.
This track has me on the dry side at least. But it looks like all the same people wh were hit the hardest by Katrina may be in for it again. View attachment 7627
Well the good news is there is a lot of discrepency between the models so maybe we will get lucky. weather.com has it about 100 miles off the coast on Wednesday night and the center of the cone is right at the LA/MS border. the nhc has it taking an extra day to get that far.
Fox 8 in New Orleans, Bob Breck said this morning that he is actually sort of happy to be in the "middle" of the track, b/c the storm almost never splits the middle of the track, and he also said that the storm is like 95% more likely to be right of the track than left. So if it goes farther right, we should be okay. It is far too early to tell
I almost fell out of my chair laughing at your post Nutriaitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That has got to be one of the funniest things I have read in a while. I am not laughing at your situation either, just at your post.
Bottom line is that no where along the Louisiana and Mississippi coast (and largely into Alabama) can take another hurricane now. Anywhere along the gulf coast will be bad news, but those areas are especially vulnerable to a hurricane.
what a bunch of panickers on this board. take a deep breath and pill and watch this storm get blown back toward florida.
