I can see this as far as WV is concerned (Though they did have a good showing against Georgia in that '06 bowl). :hihi: As far as the other, if we don't have the #1 defense, USC will. Their defense has 5 projected first and second round draft picks for the '08 NFL draft, and I honestly think they left one off- should he leave early.
I agree that this year USC defense will be really good and probably will finish in top 5 (at least on paper right now), but that wasn't the case in the last few years. Our defense has been more consistent in the last few years...that's all. Not bragging, just stating the facts.
For once Lee Corso may be right. USC has to play their toughest opponents on the road and to win all of them will be very difficult. An upset by Arizona State would not surprise me. Oklahoma and WVU are just as likely to run the table as USC is.
Accoring to everything I have read so far, USC practices against the #1 defense in the country every day. And quite frankly, I think USC wants LSU on Jan. 7th, regardless of upsets or not. You can thank your coach for that.
These guys like LSU for #1, and judging by how they set up their forums they don't think a whole lot of the PAC 10. http://www.monstersofthemidweek.com/top10.html
Come Monday morning the 5 toothless stooges will have to put down the beer and go back to their jobs of picking up animal carcasses on the state highways. Those 5 dumb @sses refer to the Pac 10 as the "Wack 10, USC and the 11 dwarfs." For some reason, the 5 dipsticks think there are 12 teams in the Pac 10, and this is after they rag on the Big 10 for not being able to count.
LOL Nice Catch! I didn't notice that little bit of mathematical genius. I do agree with LSU #1 though.
