Rita is an excuse. First post Katrina game is a BIG event. Much bigger than gameday. Much bigger than ESPN talking heads. Gameday is use to being the story, they can't handle the competition. They don't have the right stuff to do the storyline justice. They pick another venue and just pay lip service to you. ESPN is nothing but a bunch of carpetbaggers. If they were THAT afraid of Rita, they would cancel the broadcast, period.

Look for Fulmer & Tennessee to follow suit. Any excuse to avoid back-to-back road beatings on the road.

I think they already have. There was a little blurb in the advocate today about it.

The TV people will still be using it, there still televising the game and Cold Pizza will be airing from BR tomorrow I believe. That is if they don't decide to bring the riverboat further up the river due to the storm.

I know if I were in charge of ESPN I wouldn't bring the Gameday set to BR this weekend, no use planning an outdoor show and party if there may be severe weather in addition to the unavailability of indoor locations on campus.
