ESPN: "Mettenberger played the best game of his career"

While McCarron played his best at the end, LSU
quarterback Zach Mettenberger played the best
game of his career, completing 24 of 35 passes for
    a career-high 298 yards and a touchdown with no
    interceptions.
LSU actually outgained Alabama 435 yards to 331.
    ...
Stat of the game: LSU did a very good job of
    extending drives against Alabama's vaunted
defense, converting 10 of 20 third downs, while
Alabama converted just 1 of 9 third downs.
    ...
    This... a big step for
    Mettenberger... grew
tremendously against the nation's No. 1 defense.

Boy the writers at ESPN really had to dust off the ole magic 8 ball to realize that didn't they. Obviously it was better than every other game he played.

At least we know he's not a bust. We got the QB we thought we were getting, and now he should have the confidence moving forward. But God damn, does this one hurt.

For the first time it looked like the game is finally starting to slow down for Mettenberger. He looked confident, decisive, and poised in the pocket when it mattered. If he can put up those numbers against a top defense like Bama, then he's capable of doing that to anybody.

Question for you guys who had the balls to listen to ESPN after the game [I'm sick of the phalic sucking sound of them down on bama all the time] ........

... did the ESPN guys ... or old sperm burbing Verne say that LSU "outplayed" Bama .... and should have won ..... like they did last year when LSU squeaked one out on Bama??

And Les Miles put up what may be his biggest coaching blunders yet. That's truly an accomplishment. Mett's fantastic play should get high marks. I definitely wasn't expecting him to play so well.

Why do you even watch LSU anymore if you hate Les so much, seriously Crimson is a good color for you.

You act as though your allegiance lies with Les Miles rather than LSU. You need to distinguish between being an LSU fan versus maintaing a deep love for our Dear Leader. You clearly prioritize the latter.

Being a fan of our coach does not make us bad LSU fans. Regardless, since Les will be here for the foreseeable future, we might as well enjoy him.

It's much the same reason, I finally said, "Screw it," and pull for the Cowboys these days. Living in Dallas was miserable when only wishing for their demise. Of course, as soon as I decided to follow them, they promptly started sucking, but I digress.

Right now Les Miles is LSU you fucking numbskull.
