We lost very little on a defense that led the nation in scoring defense. Hmm, what type of twisted logic are you using? Auburn's defense will be leaned on early in the season and should be just as good, if not better than last year. Secondary is a question mark with a lot of talented, but unproven, players.

As much as I hate to admit it, the West will come down to the Auburn LSU game with Bama thrown in as a wildcard. If you can't take off the purple and gold glasses and realize that, then nothing I can say will convince you of that. Maybe the sixth game of the season will convince you.

You know what, I don't need to be convinced by an AU fan on anything. Yes, that 6th game will be your 3rd loss of the year. Two words for that great D, Carlos & Junior...

It's amazing how they can make these projections in April. A lot can happen b/t now and September.

b/c nobody else in our division is even half decent....and auburn will have a decent defense...so that makes them a hair over 1/2 decent

They were talking womens basketball. Even though they were wrong with both teams.

Man, you sound a lot like Ramah.

Seriously, AU will have the best returning starters on D. How does the loss of Chizik, Carlos Rogers, and Junior Rosegreen hurt them?

The losses of the two DB hurt, but there is some upcoming talent (Irons, who wa shurt all last year and Bell, who was a key sub last fall) that should make the transition better than usual. I hope people underestimate the secondary, personally.

Chizik moving on hurts, but his philopsophy and Tuberville's were similiar and the new hire, Gibbs, is a good coach, a little fiery from what I hear and a former Colorado DB as well as the DB coach for the Denver Broncos. Tuberville has always had a hand in teh defense anyway, so I don'y see a big drop off.

Though many AU fans will think its me spouting off hatred for AU, it really isn't.

Every team that wins a lot and then losses a lot will say "We have great incoming talent" but anyway they want to sugar coat it....the talent will not be what they had the previous year, especially on offense and with the loss of Rogers.

AU has had good recruiting years but nothing outstanding.
