I take it you aren't too business minded. Not necessarily a bad thing, just an observation.

actually i am and myspace would be my very last thought to move up in any legit career.

it would be financial suicide for me.

thats like moving a trailer park into malibu trying to get noticed.

    I still weep for you.

Ohio State is catching up to LSU in the best fans. Right now LSU is leading by only 0.1%

So you will target people with zero disposable income?

I know what I'm saying sounds odd, but when I say business I don't mean just any business. It has to be a business or product that targets the myspace market. Clothing, music, etc.

One example is a female named Christine Dolce that started her own jean line and now has a men's cologne and she has her own space she advertises from http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=14470. She has been featured on The Tyra Banks show and supposedly is doing very well with her jean line. She registered tens of millions of hits on her site. That's a lot of exposure. Just an example. Obviously this isn't the only avenue for advertising, but it good to use in conjunction with others. Afterall, it's free.

Obviously people like SabanFan aren't gonna be surfing around on myspace, but I also can't see him wearing cologne and ripped jeans.:hihi:

From the 2004 Heller Report... a copy of which is here on my desk:

"Increasingly, kids are using debit cards online -- 60 percent of wired 17-20 year olds have ATM/debit cards, and 45 percent have their own credit cards."

(wired means they have access to the internet in their home)

My company does about half our revenue on-line. Although our products are not kid-orientated, there is hardly an article we read that doesn't emphasize the importance of teens in the retail internet business.

    Good luck on your project!!!!

Kids have a lot of disposable income, because most of them don't have any bills to pay. All of their money goes towards their lifestyle - and they definitely are capable of spending said money on the internet.

Your business that appeals to teens having a myspace page & you personally having a myspace page are not the same. If you have a myspace page to advertise, I can't blame you - seems like a good idea, just like it is for a band. If you have a personal page and are over 20ish, I automatically assume pedophile. And no myspace page will ever be "professional".
