Even Texas fans know an undefeated LSU bumps them out of the MNC

Texas always plays OU in Dallas at the Cotton Bowl--never in Austin or Norman.

 

I wouldn't call it arguing against LSU, more like calling how I see it.

Do I hope LSU jumps UT if they both go undefeated, yes, but it's not in my hands. If it were in my hands, then I'd be lobbying for LSU. I tend to take off the purple and gold shades when discussing things of this nature.

 

Texas' schedule is a joke now that they beat OSU.

I'm hoping for some team, ANY team to beat up on USC...I can't stand them. USC vs UT in the Rose if they both win out, unfortunately.

 

Not sure if we'll go unbeaten at this point, but I do like the idea of controlling our own destiny. I remember when LSU laid an egg against Floirida and after that, LSU was a force on their way to the NC. Hopefully that can happen this year, only without a loss.

 

I really believe that if we were to go undeafeated and beat Tenn, AU, UF and Bama at Bama after beating ASU in Tempe that we would have a damn good chance to jump Texas in the polls. And I do believe that the love we are getting nationally due the hurricane would be a small part of it.

But I have to say, I love how everyone always says Texas and UGA are always overrated, hell, I'd take both of their records the best 4 seasons if I didn't have to give up the National Championship.

 

Reading this thread, I'm thinking it's unreal to read all this about LSU going undefeated after just one game! But then, I started thinking that LSU will likely be the favorite in every remaining game this season, with the possible exception of Bama. And we have an "advantage" against Bama in that we'll play on (one of) their field(s)! :grin:

As an LSU fan, I'll take my chances. Getting a shot at the crown is better than the alternative...
