JJ should be keeping his mouth shut about the gameplan and also shouldn't be giving them bulletin board material by calling them slow. He needs to spend all his time and energy learning how to play his position.
Hopefully they don't understand what Jefferson said either. But just so you know he did call them slow, he just worded it a little more politically correct.
Trust me, every Big10 team already has a chip on their shoulder when they have to play an SEC team. They are more likely to put a quote from the media before you'd find JJ's quote on a bulletin board in the Penn St. locker room.
He's comparing styles in the conferences, not calling them slow. You're getting entirely too worked up over nothing at all.
Actually, he didn't say he wants to see "more" of RS... he just said "We want to get Trindon and Russell involved in the offense to where we can get some yards and put points on the board." That's what we've been doing all season. RS is #3 on the team this year in total rushing yards, rushing ypg, and rushing TDs, only behind seniors CS and KW (both of whom will be gone next year). Not too shabby for a true freshman. What did you expect JJ to say? That we don't want to get RS involved in the offense like we have been doing all season?
