Perhaps. But they didn't play 4 top-10 teams on the road, either. The 2003 team had it's toughest opponents at home. Remember, Nick lost 3-to 5 games a season except for 2003. Lets see how this team does in 2007 with only the seniors being Nicks recruits and with Auburn, Florida, Arkansas, South Carolina, and Virginia Tech . . . all at home.

Yes they have. Beckwith's loss is major since LSU is so shallow at RB. Our next two linebackers are green freshmen. MacFadden will play hell with Cutrera and Odum.

What do you think will happen this friday if the Defense decides to not show up till the second half? It won't be pretty, I promise that!

Unless the same Arkansas team shows up that played yesterday. It's our special teams that will get burned if the same two teams show Friday.

We wouldn't be where we are today if it weren't for Saban. Miles has sustained it so far, but he didn't put us where we are today. So anyone who wants to say "Saban wasn't all that" is completely stupid. I can't believe what I'm reading from some folks.

That said, Miles has won games since he's been here. And he's recruited. We haven't had the most dynamic team but Saban had the same thing every even year. I'll be watching Miles for the rest of this season and next before my opinion starts to solidify.

I don't like the way Miles doesn't address the poor play, but Saban skipped alot of that too. I don't like the way we have a bunch of players constantly talking trash. There are some other things I don't like that I don't feel like talking about. But I'm willing to give Miles the benefit of the doubt and realize that football is an intense sport, and sometimes intensity is a little brash.

I wonder if all you fans that think Miles should be fired also think that Saban should be fired at Miami ?

You people asking for Miles job are a joke.

You call yourself fans but your really people who like to always tear down.

You are pathetic and you think you know football. Most of you dont know a damn thing about football but it makes you feel better to wine and bitch about everything.

All you people who want Miles fired can kiss my ever loving big fat a**.

I agree with you. Miles is 20-4 at LSU and from all the threads wanting him fired you would think he is 4-20. We still have a great chance to go to a BCS game and have another 10 win season.

Saban wasn't "all that" in the way that some are trying to paint him. He won a BCS Championship with a very good team, but, a lot of things had to fall exactly right for that to happen. His 2004 team, though very good, did not measure to the 2003 standard. If Nick had departed after the NC year, his replacement, with the exact same record that Nick had in 2004, would have been vilified unmercifully.

You are right that if Miles would have been hired before the 2004 season and had the season that Saban had most would be unhappy. I think most were unhappy with Saban. That doesn't change the fact that we wouldn't be where we are today without Saban (IMO). Emmert probably helped as well, and I wonder if Baa-bineaux hurt. I think it borders on sacrilege to belittle Saban's impact on LSU, and almost without exception I think it is wrong. He wasn't perfect, but he brought this program to unprecedented heights.

As far as dookie play against the sissies, you can say we didn't play up to potential, but I really think you have to give Orgeron and his gaggle of merry men some credit. They had this game circled and did a good job of stealing momentum and keeping us off balance early. They could have done that to any big school - many big schools have worse losses on their resume. I don't know what happened to our special teams, but based on what has happened this season it really seems like an anomaly.

    Should be interesting against Arkansas.
