How much is this going to set Barksdale back? I've never had a broken jaw- though I have had my azz whipped a couple :hihi: - but he's going to lose a lot of weight eating through a straw.......least I'd think so. Or will drinks like "Ensure" maintain?
If it's bad enough to wire, then he'll be on a mushy diet for six to eight weeks plus some surgery might be involved. But, there would be some time for him to bulk back up over the summer. Hopefully, it wasn't a bad fracture, which would mean a soft diet for a bit plus a ton of pain meds, but no surgery or wires. I feel for his parents. And I am so very glad that Giddens is off the team.
So where is the guy that was singing such high praises about Giddens guy right after he signed his scholarship......I remember somone coming on here stating how much of an impact player he would be - a diamond in the rough if you will. His name has always been in the back of my mind and was waiting for the day his name would be mentioned after making a great play and I would remember then that I heard it here first (on Tigerforums).........just looks like I'm hearing it for all the wrong reasons. Looks like he got on the wrong track and some point.
Getting enough food in is the key. He can still work out, no problem. Was he a potential redshirt? But to answer your question about potential setbacks, Steve Smith broke Dominique Byrd's jaw a few years ago during a pickup basketball game- looks like he recovered okay. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nU38fh6uto And it's only 38 seconds tiga.......you can sit still for that long, yea? :yelwink2: And here's one that should bring some smiles to Tiger fans. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ts0ft4KFoGE
Seems like he should have been expelled because of the earlier charges but I guess they were waiting for a conviction. Either way it's damn good that scum is off the team.
Makes me glad to see that CLM got rid of this @ss-hat at the first sign of trouble. Would have been that much worse had he been slapped on the wrist for the problem a month ago only to have something stupid like this happen. I know this doesn't make it any better for Barksdale or his jaw, but it's good to see Les on top of things. I wish LSU could bounce Giddens' sorry ass immediately but I understand that they can't for fear of getting their ass sued off by some greedy ass lawyer/family that claims this idiot was unfairly treated. I feel bad for Barksdale and his family, but hopefully he will make a speedy recovery.
The man is simply applying for a scholarship to "Miami." He probably selected another big athelete to prove his point. I "really" am sorry it was another LSU player. The least he could have done was go find a Tulane player.
Classic. This is signature material. I'd embroider it on a pillow but some on here might think I'm a sissy.:hihi:
