Listening to xm radio and they were discussing the bowl matchups and someone referred to this game as the mummy vs the dummy. Thought that was pretty funny.

As I said in another thread, this is a good matchup because the two teams are so much alike. Poor offenses, and good defenses. PSU has the edge at QB with a senior QB who wants to go out with a bang, but LSU has the edge at RB. This will likely be a low scoring game... and a true battle between the winningest bowl coach of all time and a coach who has yet to be defeated in one in 4 tries. This will be truly excellent
I've been eyeing this matchup for a while. I was pulling for Ole Miss because my current boss is an Ole Miss grad and I think we'd stomp them... but your name carries a lot more weight and I wasn't even alive the only time we faced off. I personally think you guys will beat us, but JoePa and staff typically does a great job preparing for bowl games. The wild card is certainly special teams as PSU is laughable in that department as a whole this year and you guys have some serious weapons. This has been a very disappointing year for most PSU fans, but it's really a treat to be rewarded with one of the best bowl matchups of the year. I do not mean that sarcastically at all. Just take a peek at our OOC schedule to get an idea of why PSU fans are aching to play against someone outside of the Big 10 with a pulse. IMO, winning against you guys would make more of a statement than beating Ga Tech in the Orange Bowl. Looking forward to talking football (not trash) with you guys.
