Exodus Thread and next year defense/O line

If Beckwith declares, he is going in the 1st 3 rounds. I do believe he could make it better for next year, but the chances of him going in the 1st round next year are very small.

I dont see the risk in injury for a better grade in the 2nd round.

Better than Minter? Mel Kiper is on crack.

 

We should be A LOT better next year. Yes we will lose several key players, but that's the case every year.

Our QB will be better. Our OLine, although it will take some losses, will return a ton of experience.

Our D Line will get help in recruiting. Our secondary could be better next year given that we're only losing 2 players and everyone behind them has played a lot.

I'm really only worried about the LBers and we may do well there in recruiting as well.

I expect to lose Beckwith and White as juniors from the defense, and Hawkins as well. Move Pocic to tackle and his stock goes up.

 

Beckwith is a lot like Mayo or Spikes. Great at stuffing the run, but can't cover worth a shit.

 

We had a better Dline and overall unit when Minter played.

 

I think we get worse.

 

Minter is starting in the NFL right now and doing a damn fine job.

 

And?

Coverage isn't Minters strong suit. He was and is an excellent run stuffer.

 

He covered a lot better than Beckwith, and was and is faster.
