    wait a minute... and why did you use the term CHINESES BANDIT in reference to the logo?

    highly important in this argument over the water cooler about the throwback logo

    Nice job red, but help me out here. Didn't we briefly use something similar to that as our helmet logo? I'm talking early to mid 70's, between the time players had their numbers like Bama, and the current logo that came in during the late 70's.

    Never on the helmet and I'm not sure if it was ever oficially used by the athletic department, but it was on a lot of LSU T-shirts and caps in the 60's. It had pretty much faded away by the 70's.

    When I was a Boy Scout usher in 1967 it was used on the patch we wore to get into the stadium, but it was issued by the local scout office, not LSU.
