I agree. We saw nothing in early Jan that would indicate that osu will provide a competitive game against usc. Hopefully, that loss will keep them out of the MNC picture next year. But I can already hear the chorus from the media saying that osu should get another shot at usc later in the year.
I disagree that Ohio St will not be a great team this year. I thought we destroyed their spirit in the NC, but they sure had the horses to run with us. Had they faced the tough games we had last year, it could have been a different outcome. This year they face USC early and few people are giving them a chance. If they beat them(I think they can), there is very little to keep them out of the NCG. On our predictions, I think those are fair. We could certainly blossom and end up in a BCS game, but that might be a bit too lofty to expect. Florida fell pretty hard the year after they won the NC, and they had a ton of young talent. I think we are in better shape with our upperclassmen, but we still have some questions to answer. If we do, those predictions will be invalid.
The Dude makes a good point, they're a pretty talented team, but just not battle tested. That and they lack the overall team speed we have in the SEC. Course, if they were battle tested, that record might not be quite as sterling every year.
For the people on here that live along the FL panhandle, on the MS coast, and in Alabama it looks like this game will get better in the near future. Good chance an ACC team is added next year and a SEC team a year after that.
Been awhile since I was here been licking my wounds since Jan. 7th . But that being said how is your QB situtation shaping up? I would have to say its better to lose RP now than have him get tossed right before the season or during even. As for projecting bowls that makes less sense than preseason polls. Its just a way for the media talking heads to draw a paycheck till football gets back. So good luck this year Tigers I will be rooting for you all
