I think it was a recognition call by the punter/prude. They are coached to silent audible to that play when the gunner is uncovered I'm sure, and he in fact was comletely uncovered. I don't think the staff wanted him to do it on the 10 though :D

We'll see later, I'm sure a reporter will ask him, but if Miles did in fact make that call...that does not bode well.

it's an opinion tirk, get over it. it worked, not every play in football works 100% of the time, if it did there would only be one play. Thats why they play the game. You think it's a bad call. i say it's a good call in certain situations. leave it at that. and if you think you're the end all football expert then send your resume to ESPN I assure you they'd laugh at your silly ego a$$. get over yourself. Bear Bryant you ain't.

i really do not know much about football, but i would like to see some real serious research on the subject.

either way i am gonna take the admittedly stupid "i like the play because it worked" stance.

im aware of that. its an automatic call given a coverage. thats how theyre taught but theyre has to be exceptions. lol

it was funny to see miles laughing after everything later in the 1st even when its tied.

whens the last time uve seen and major d1 hc laughing and loose that way.

im convinced...hes nutz. I like him. Not sure my heart can handle it though.

well the whole idea is that people like JSBracing would be bitching like crazy had the punter thrown the ball poorly and it was incomplete (or a dropped pass), and would would be asking how in the hell could you try that way back in your part of the field.

common sense says the play was a total brain freeze on Miles' part.

My heart dropped down to my feet when I saw him rear back to toss it, only when the camera panned back and I saw him wide open did it beat again. At least we saw Miles is giving more leeway to the players to take their destiny in their hands...**** we gotta find something good in that call other than 'it worked'.

    hey Islost,

Miles didn't call the play it was an option. if the gunner was open... sheesh. :dis:

if tirkish farts will it blow Islost's brains out? probably so.

maybe i am stupid but it seems like such an easy play. hell i could hit tirk with a strike for a first if he was that wide open. any real athlete ought to be able to hit a wide open man at 18 yards or however far that was. i say go for it every time.
