because of this i think he should be considered/used more as a RB. he can get more favorable matchups in the secondary, like faulk used to.

He's WAY too easy to tackle to be a pure RB. If he finds the hole...look out! Otherwise, he's an arm-tackle away from being put down. That's why they try to put him in space.

Of course, I've heard he's put on about twenty pounds of muscle. That might make him a little tougher.

He's still only about a buck seventy-five, though...

    Update / Edit: He's at 170 this year...almost a respectable weight. And for a 5-5 guy, that's pretty stout.

    Quote from Times-Picayune:

Wherever he is with the ball, it's likely to be trouble for opponents.

"It's a nightmare to see him coming at you," LSU cornerback Jai Eugene said. "Everybody in the country could say that.

"I try to just contain him until help comes. He's hard to tackle one-on-one. He's just scooting all over the field."

Said linebacker Kelvin Sheppard: "If you let him get on the same level, you are not going to tackle him. He's as fast a person as I've ever seen. And I've seen him instead of run past the linebacker, try to run over them. He's definitely a lot stronger this season."

Trindon doesn't get enough credit for being a tough little bugger. He may be small, but he is not at all afraid to mix it up with the big boys.

    TheDude I'm calmer than you.

It will be the highlight of the year, when he trucks a cornerback or safety.

No doubt - he's a warrior. And I believe he's one of the strongest on the team, pound for pound.

His only limitation is he needs space. Because at 170, he's an easy arm tackle for LBs and DLs.

He should get plenty of chances in space this year. I cannot wait to see it.

the way he gets bounced around i think he should go by "super happy fun ball"

"Caution: Happy Fun Ball may suddenly accelerate to dangerous speeds.
....Discontinue use of Happy Fun Ball if any of the following occurs:* Heart palpitations....Ingredients of Happy Fun Ball include an unknown glowing substance which fell to Earth, presumably from outer space."

I got asked by someone to do a progress report on the offense, defense and special teams as a whole, so I did that today.

For details as to why I gave the grades I did, it's on the site, but:

    Offense: B-
    Defense: A
    Teams: B-

Hey Clair, re: your comment that Pierre Thomas is the best RB on the Saints roster. :thumb: Coach SP is treating Pierre on a 180 from how he's handling David, IMO. He may be smaller the Deuce, slower than Bush, less experienced than Stecker. I couldn't care less; the guy simply goes out there and performs, every time he gets the opportunity. Not too long ago, Bobby Hebert said on WWL,"if Pierre Thomas is our starter, its out of desperation." Another so-called expert who apparently doesn't believe his own eyes. You've got to wonder, if LSU's tailbacks from last year were all on the Saints' roster, would Jacob Hester ever get on the field? Measly little 2-star recruit, he can't possibly do a better job than all these 4 and 5 stars we've got, can he?

you're 100 percent right. Thomas is not the biggest, fastest, strongest. But he is the best package of all of those put together.

Dude got 100 yds rushing and receiving against the Bears. If he is not playing in a huge role for the Saints this year, then that's their loss.
