1. I agree!:thumb:

I would rather keep CLM's and win less games than to take a chance on Pete Carroll either way.
I'm not so sure that Pete Carroll is a better coach than Les is and I know he aint by character!
I haven't see enough of USC games to know.

I will say that I was totally shocked when I saw a thread about Carroll going to Seattle, I thought it was some kind of joke.
He was a lousy NFL coach while at New England.
It will be interesting to see if he can do better at Seattle, maybe he learned from his mistakes?

Btw, I was more shocked to have learned about Kiffin getting the hell out of Tennessee, man, that was fast.
It will be interesting to see if Tennessee is able to get a big name coach or not.
Seems to me that Tenn football is in the sewer!
I apologize for getting off topic but this whole thing just blew me away!

  2. No thanks on Petey. He success depends on his assistants as much as Miles'. I want a Saban-like coach in that they're involved in the game.
  3. No way...
  4. Then you would want Pete. He would field a great defense almost every single year. Just like Saban.
  5. Then I stand corrected as I was not aware he was a defensive guru.

Is it safe to say what he did in the PAC, defensively, applicable to what he could in the SEC? They put up high numbers in their in-conference games and he sure seems to struggle with running QB's. The couple of times I watched them this year their defense looked a lot like ours, last year...lost, blown assignments, getting man-handled on the front line.
  6. Be that as it may, and trust me I don't want Pete, but he did have the SEC's number. USC dismantled the SEC every time they played them.
