mmm, beer I am a frequent reader, but have never posted. However, this thread spoke to my heart. Any beer will do as long as it is cold, for pre-game festivities (although I do prefer nice imports (pale ales, etc.)). I have distilled (pun intended) my game time flask-filler to scotch or vodka, because all I need is a large glass of ice for mixer. I have outgrown the sweet stuff, and as the ice melts, it goes down quite nicely. This cuts down on number of concession trips- as one drink will last about a half of football. It also cuts down on bathroom trips. It is also crucial to stock enough beer for post-game celebrations. A few gatorades thrown in for pre-medication after the game are also essential.
For our beer coniseurs (butchered that).......... I had a beer a couple of months ago made by a Micro-Brew in Marrero. It was damn good. Can't remember the name of it to save my life. I want to say it was "Day" or "Day's". something simple like that. Anyone know of it and where I can get it?
Re: Re: Re: mmm, beer Then flag me 15 yards for too much 'celebration'. On the thread topic, I recently had Abita Wheat and thought it was really good.
Beer, hell any to wash down good boudin Man, get me about 5 pounds of it from Ray's in Opelousas or the slaughterhouse just next to the high school in the next town over or what about Legnon's in New Iberia ... see it's not about the damn beer ... and you know that ... you just wanted to start in about WHAT's THE BEST BOUDIN?????????????? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!
Re: Beer, hell any to wash down good boudin The boudin balls from Tony's Seafood on Plank Road in Baton Rouge are FANTASTIC!!! Of course washed down with the beer of your choice!
Re: Re: Re: Re: mmm, beer I tried Wheat for the first time the other day and I liked it too. Nice and light.
