The Georgia game in 03 because of rankings and such. Also this game to me was high drama start to finish. Blitz packages galore. The students section followed by the sell out crowd chanting LSU LSU when UGA went ahead. The announcement that it was now evening in tiger stadium at about 4th qtr. Chills baby.

Plenty of other rate but if I had to pick one. What a game!!

that auburn game in 01 was amazing... I remember everything about it... the kicker getting abused at halftime... the onsides kick when auburn wasnt expecting it..and hearing the PA announcer announce that SECCG tickets were on sale. I knew then that saban and lsu were going to do something very special, very soon.

the uga game I wasnt officially at, but I was at the varsity and if anyone has ever been to the varsity for a game, they know that it's the closest thing to actually being there... to feel that dejected after the screen pass... to feeling that great after the skyler TD... it was amazing.

the FLA game... at the time that game happened, I think everyone thought it might have been one of the 3 best moments of their lives... I mean we hated spurrier... I've got the SI with kevin faulk on the cover "see you later, gators" hanging on my wall.

then NC game, I wasnt at, but it must have been great... I think it's not my number one, because as much as OU might have been favored, I dont think there was any doubt in any of our minds at any time in that game.

The best game I attended has to be the Bluegrass Miracle game. Most nerve-racking game to watch Oregon State. Listening to Jim Hawthorn on the call. HE MISSED IT!!! HOLY COW HE MISSED IT!!!

It was one of the greatest football games I ever saw. The fans afterward, it was awsome.

The Earthquake game in '88 - single loudest explosion of noise, energy, and joy I have ever felt. I was at the Sugar Bowl and many of the games listed above, but I will never forget that game. It's hard to explain that game and that moment, but yelling as loud as I could and not even being able to hear myself....unbelievable!

The '97 Florida game brings me back to two other Florida games, 1977 and 1982.

1976 the Gators had talent all over us. They had a wide out, whose nmae escapes me, that ended up as Saints semi-star. Derrick Gaffney and a couple of other sppedsters were on the team as well. They had a three-year winning streak and were heavily favored. LSU was just off that 77-0 win over Rice. The "Help Mac Pack" fever was just starting. The Tigers opened the 1st quarter with a 29-0 barrage, the best one quarter of football I ever seen LSU play. For five consecutive quarter LSU outscored the enemy 106-0! Anyway, it was the first time for me as an LSU fan to witness the Tiger Stadium out of control. For the next three quarters everyone was yelling hoping the quick strike Gators could be held off. LSU held 'em off in a 36-14 game-was-closer-than-the-score final.

1982 we're coming off a 3-7-1 seaon featuring that 7-48 loss to the Pond Scum. Stovall was aw shucks to our 2-0 start of wins over Rice and Oregon State. LSU's opening conference play in Gainesville. The Gators, lead by cheatin' Charlie Pell, were undfeated with big wins over Southern Cal (a top 5 team at the time) and State (this was during the John Bond / we can't beat MSU era). They're crowd was cocky and obnoxious (even by their standards). They had just moved their student section to behind the visitors bench and if you've been the Swamp, you know how close their crowd is to the field). I think Florida took the opening drive and kicked a field goal. Then the national introduction to the Dalton-James Gang took place. LSU kicked their butt every way but loose. Halftime it was 24-3 LSU and most of their fans were highway bound. As fans, we caught a lot of grief in the 1st quarter, when we saw they were leaving at halftime, many when under the stands and formed a gauntlet yelling "Tiger Bait! Tiger Bait!" It was great.

Worse Florida game, 1993 3-58 with Hudson saying in his radio post game "we'll just have to go out to the practice field tomorrow and put those maroon jerseys on a hit." As an Aggie hater, I went nuts.

I will go with the 12-17 loss to So. Cal. back in 1979. About 45 minutes before kickoff I had almost given up on purchasing a ticket. My wife and I were about 50 yards apart each holding up two fingers. I was approached by several wiseasses in the last two hours and I was more interested in reading the Tiger Rag. Three men from USC told me that they had two tickets. I said "How much?" One remarked that he paid ten dollars each and thought that was fair. I ran a 5.5 50 to get the money from my wife. We had time to eat a meal at the cafeteria and make the kickoff. Those USC guys were seated next to us on row 2 in the South endzone. They shared their beverages with us. They gave their two extra seats to a couple of Boy Scouts. We went to a joint near campus after the game with them. My wife and I stayed at Howard Johnson's in Lafayette. I ran a 10K the next AM not completely sober. I have attended at least one game every year since.
